Local Jewelry Designer in Top 5 of National Business Plan Competition

Brighton, MI - July 25, 2006 - The jewelry designs and business plans submitted by
Denise Couling and her Brighton, MI-based retail store, Just So!, have placed among the
Top Five Finalists in the national 2006 Bridge Jewelry Design Business Development
Grant.  Denise Couling, at attorney and jewelry designer, is the creator of the
patent-pending
Connectables line of interchangeable jewelry.  The competition was
sponsored by Halstead Bead, Inc., one of North America's leading jewelry supply
wholesale distributors.   Over 100 applicants entered the nationwide grant competition in
which candidates were evaluated based on excellence both in design and in business
strategy.  The term, "bridge" jewelry, refers to jewelry consisting of sterling, genuine
gemstones, pearls and other natural components that "bridge" the gap between costume
jewelry and fine jewelry (featuring materials such as diamonds, high karat gold and
platinum).

Since 2005, Ms. Couling's designs have been featured in the fashion editorial sections of
Hour, Metro Detroit Bride, and Modern Bride magazines.  In 2004, Connectables system
also received an Honorable Mention in the 2004 InventNow America competition
sponsored by QVC, the U.S. Patent Office, and Popular Mechanics magazine.  Ms.
Couling began designing Connectables as a versatile jewelry system for her own use.
Over the past several years, interest in her unique designs blossomed into not only her
patent-pending necklace clasp system, but also a retail store (Just So!) and custom bridal
jewelry business.  Focusing on the tension many women experience between expensive
but often "cookie cutter" jewelry styles and their desire for greater versatility and
individuality in their jewelry investments, Just So! now offers an extensive jewelry line
based on the premise:  "Designer elements, your style"

Presently a single retail store in downtown Brighton,
Just So! is in the process of
completing its first innovative sales catalog and expanding its sales through a multi-state
network of polished, service-oriented consultants.  Both Couling's designs and the
business plan, market analysis and strategy detailing Just So!'s transition to the national
marketplace were identified as bases for placement among the competition's "Top 5"
finalists.
